Stan: an overobsessed fan to the point of following a star around. It is formed from the words stalker and fan.

The word Stan was introduced to world in 2000 by Eminem dedicated to his crazy deluted fans. And ever since the word has become an internet sensation, but what is stanning?

Stanning you can say is like being a gang member, but you don't represent anytype of color or neighborhood; you defend a celebrity of your choice, and instead of getting shot to death, you get spammed to death.

In this first post I will highlight the most Notorious Stan War on the net.

Beyonce Stans vs. Rihanna Stans.


The Background:

In 2003 Beyonce broke away from her group Destinys Child and became a solo artist. As soon as she hurled on the scene with "Crazy In Love" other R&B chicks started disappearing left and right. Ashanti who was hot at the time became irrelevant, Brandy broke down, J.Lo was kicked off the block, and Mya became nonexistent. Beyonce was dominating, snatching wigs, and killing careers softly. She had wiped all her competition of the face of the earth.

But pretty soon that would all change.

In 2005 Beyonce's now husband Jay Z signed a young girl fromt the islands of Barbados. No one really cared about her at that time, but in 2007 that all changed with one song. This one song would burn up the charts and it made Beyonce stans tense up. That one song was 'Umbrella'. To make matters worst rumors spread suggesting that Jay Z was cheating on Beyonce for this young Bajan girl. This put Beyonce stans in overdrive and they have been trying to kill the career of Rihanna just as they did her predecessors. Just the thought of making Beyonce Stans angry made people join team Rihanna.

Beyonce Stans- This is a dangerous group. They obsessive, highly aggressive, and delusional to the max. If you even think about coming for Beyonce they will reap wrath, especially if you are a Rihanna stan. They will humiliate your character. They will spammed your facebook, twitter, myspace, youtube, etc and they will show no mercy. Even the smallest offense will set them off and you'll be ready to quit your days a blogger.


Rihanna Stans- This group is past delusion. They lurk the net to look for an argument and will not rest until they have dragged you to the core. They love those #1's that Rihanna got and are quick to bring them up. And when they are losing a battle they bring up fake stats that sound believable. Unless you are a Beyonce stan or a stan of some legend trying to fight this group is highly impossible.
