Album Review: Trey Songz 'Passion Pain and Pleasure'
A year after his positively received 3rd album 'Ready' Trey Songz is back with his new album 'Passion, Pain, and Pleasure.' Trey Songz has cited as his best work to date, but is it really? While his first two albums 'I Gotta Make It' and 'Trey Day' gives the ladies a taste of his sex appeal they still contain substance. This album and 'Ready' not so much.
The Good:
To be honest the only song that made me go 'WOW' is "Unfortunate". Trey is singing in an soulful and emotional tone filled with so much pain it hurts. The beat is dark, the background vocals are on point. This definitely the high point of the album, IMO. Another song on that album that has really grown on me withing the past few months is "Bottoms Up" featuring femcee Nicki Minaj. The hook is catchy and Nicki Minaj verse is just oozing with sexiness and sass. One other song that had my ears hooked was, "Doorbell". All the elements of the song fit together and plus it gives you that real R&B feel which is always a plus for me.
The Decent:
-Unusual Ft. Drake
-Love Faces
The Bad:
Where do I begin. Well how about I start with the atrocity that is "Red Lipstick". This song is wack in every aspect of the word. The Lyrics mediocre, vocals are corny, and the beat is just awful. And just when you thought it could get worst he tries to go the pop route. If Usher can get an international hit by taking the electro pop route why can't Songz. #FAIL. 'Blind and 'You Just Need Me' are by far the worst songs on the album. That whole pop thing is just not gonna work for him so he should just quit while he is at it.
To Sum it all up:
There are only 5 songs that are listenable while the rest are just BLAH. This album seems as though it was rushed and it should have never been released so early. I rate this album a 2/5.
R.Kelly is somewhere laughin his ass of right now.
STAN WARS PT. 1
Stan: an overobsessed fan to the point of following a star around. It is formed from the words stalker and fan.
The word Stan was introduced to world in 2000 by Eminem dedicated to his crazy deluted fans. And ever since the word has become an internet sensation, but what is stanning?
Stanning you can say is like being a gang member, but you don't represent anytype of color or neighborhood; you defend a celebrity of your choice, and instead of getting shot to death, you get spammed to death.
In this first post I will highlight the most Notorious Stan War on the net.Beyonce Stans vs. Rihanna Stans.
